Hi everyone, my name is DeeDee French, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart after my loving husband, Chris, was involved in a serious motorcycle accident on his day off last Sunday.

What should have been a peaceful ride turned into a life-changing moment in an instant.

Chris suffered a fractured right fibula and ankle, along with severe road rash across six to seven areas of his body and a swollen right hand. The pain he’s enduring is unimaginable, and doctors have told us he will be out of work for at least six to eight weeks, possibly longer. We are now waiting to meet with an orthopedic surgeon to determine if he will need surgery.

Chris isn’t just my husband — he’s the heart of our family.

He’s been a dedicated police officer for 21 years in Fort Bend County, and his work has never just been a job to him. He truly loves the people he works with and the citizens he serves every single day. Helping others has always been part of who Chris is, both in uniform and in everyday life.

He’s also an incredible father to our two sons. We’ve experienced the devastating loss of one of our boys, who would have been 27 this year, and we continue to love and support our 24-year-old son. Through every hardship, Chris has been our strength, always putting his family first no matter what.

He’s the kind of person who shows up for others without hesitation. Chris is a proud member of Los Carnales / La Familia Motorcycle Club, a law enforcement motorcycle club built on brotherhood, loyalty, and service. That same spirit of loyalty and giving defines who he is.

Now, he needs that same support.

His Harley-Davidson Street Glide, something he truly loved, was completely totaled in the accident. More importantly, he is unable to work, and the financial stress is beginning to build as we focus on his recovery and what lies ahead.

If you know Chris, you know he would never ask for help himself. He has always been the one offering it to others.

So today, I’m asking on his behalf.
