Hi everyone, my name is Summer May, and this past Monday was one of the scariest days of my life when I got the call that my loving husband, Jason, had been in a serious accident.

Jason is lucky to be alive, but is now facing a long and incredibly difficult road ahead. He has already undergone one major surgery and more surgeries are still to come. Once Jason is stable enough to discharge from the hospital he will be transferred to a rehabilitation center to start the long process to recovery. 

The injuries he has suffered are devastating. He sustained a broken arm, along with a severe dislocation in his left leg where the bone was exposed through the skin, causing extensive trauma. There is significant soft tissue damage and skin tearing, as well as serious structural damage to his knee and torn ligaments throughout his left leg. His right leg is currently immobile, and as a result of these combined injuries, he has lost the ability to walk.

We have been married for three and a half years and Jason has been nothing short of an amazingly nurturing and loving husband and step-father. He is the kind of person who truly cares about everyone, always putting others before himself and showing up for the people in his life. Even in his hospital bed Jason is worried about getting back to support his shop. 

Jason is also the Sales Manager at Cascade Moto Portland , where he has built not just a career, but a family. He genuinely loves his team, many of whom have become close friends, and he deeply values the relationships he has built with the clients he serves every day.

This is going to be a long road to recovery, filled with surgeries, rehabilitation, and uncertainty. During part of this time, Jason will be unable to work, and the financial burden of medical expenses and everyday living costs is quickly becoming overwhelming.

If you know Jason, you know he is someone who would never ask for help. Jason is extremely independent and prideful. Jason is always the one giving, supporting, and lifting others up.

 Now, I’m asking for him.
