Hi everyone, my name is Hayley Fitchett, and I’m reaching out with the hardest plea I’ve ever had to make. On Saturday, November 22nd, 2025, my boyfriend, Caleb Bailey, was on his way to his brand-new job with a moving company. He had only been there for three days and was so excited and proud to finally be moving forward. He left home on his 2010 Kawasaki Z1000, riding through Phoenix like he always did — ready for the day.

That morning, a truck turned in front of him. The impact was devastating. Caleb has no memory of the accident and has barely been able to speak since. He was rushed by ambulance to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, where trauma surgeons quickly realized how critical his condition was.

Caleb’s injuries are extensive and life-altering:

• A torn muscle in the center of his pelvic region

• His left pelvic bone wing broken off

• His right wrist fractured in two places (his dominant hand)

• Both eye sockets fractured

• Both cheekbones fractured

• A fractured nose

• His right hand completely shattered (the bones within the hand)

• His small bowel torn in three places

His first surgery — as soon as he got to hospital , an eight-hour emergency operation to repair his small bowel — likely saved his life. The next day on the 23rd he underwent another eight-hour surgery to stabilize his pelvis with screws and repair his wrist with plates. On the 24th, surgeons reconstructed his face with plates and screws, finally allowing him to be taken off the breathing machine. And on the 25th, he was taken back to the OR again so doctors could remove a wound vac.

Caleb remains in the ICU, and doctors have told us he is facing months of hospitalization, rehab, and full-time care. His parents, Tony and Nicole Woods, live in Maricopa Arizona and once Caleb is stable enough, we will be moving there so they can help with his long-term recovery. His family includes his two sisters, Lauren and Debra, and his brothers — Michael, Jacob, Robert, Sam, Ryan, Zach, and Tyler — a blended crew that honestly feels like a real-life Brady Bunch. Everyone is rallying around him to keep his spirits high.

Somewhere in the midst of all this, it hits me that we’re young — Caleb is only 21 years old, and this is just not something you ever expect to face at this age. He should be out working on cars, installing sound systems, and doing the hands-on custom work he loves… not fighting through countless surgeries and months of recovery.

With everything he has already been through — multiple surgeries, ICU care, and a long road of rehab ahead — there will definitely be significant medical bills at the end of all this. I’ve already had to return to work at the dispensary, but it will never be enough to keep up with what’s coming.
