Law Tigers and Heather Stewart are campaign organizers for Stephen Stewart.
Hi, my name is Heather Stewart, and my loving husband, Stephen Stewart, was in a motorcycle accident this past Tuesday, February 24, 2026.
Stephen was traveling westbound on Pipes Canyon Road when he unexpectedly encountered a significant amount of loose sand in the roadway. There were no warning signs. Because of the loose surface, he lost control of his motorcycle and was thrown approximately 10–15 feet into the desert terrain. His motorcycle landed on large rocks in the desert, and by the grace of God, Stephen narrowly missed them. We truly believe it could have been so much worse.
The impact was still severe. Stephen suffered a fractured left leg, a dislocated right shoulder, deep bruising to his inner and right thigh, and a large dirt rash across his back. Doctors are still evaluating the full extent of the damage to his shoulder, and there is also concern that he may need surgery on his right ankle. We are continuing with imaging, follow-up appointments, and specialist consultations as we wait for clearer answers about the next steps in his recovery.
Stephen has been the manager of AutoZone for 17 years. He truly loves his co-workers and the customers he serves every day. He takes pride in helping people and being someone others can count on.
Later this year, we are going to celebrate our 25th anniversary of being together — a milestone that means so much to our family.
We have three wonderful children living at home. Blake is 22, Kevin is 18, and our little princess Rhea is just 3 years old. Stephen is a devoted husband and father who always puts his family first. We are members of Lighthouse Church in Joshua Tree, CA, where our church family has already been faithfully praying for his healing. Stephen and I have always tried to be there for others when they were in need, and now we humbly find ourselves in need of support.
I have taken this week off to care for him and attend to his needs, which has added additional strain. With Stephen expected to be out of work for six to eight weeks — and possibly longer if surgery is required — the loss of income combined with medical expenses, co-pays, and everyday living costs is overwhelming.
We are asking for help to bridge this difficult season so Stephen can focus fully on healing without the added burden of financial stress. Any amount you can give would mean more than we can express. If you are unable to donate, we would deeply appreciate your prayers and sharing Stephen’s story.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your compassion, generosity, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
Heather and Stephen Stewart 🙏❤️
