Hi everyone,

My name is Ashley Mings, and my loving husband, Jesse, was riding his 2007 Aprilia RSV 1000 when he was involved in a terrible motorcycle accident last Wednesday, January 21, 2026, in Austin, Texas—an accident that changed our lives in an instant.

Jesse was hospitalized for three days and suffered serious injuries, including four fractured vertebrae, two fractured ribs, a fractured clavicle, and severe road rash on his right knee, both arms, and his palms. Doctors have told us that he may require surgery on his vertebrae, and his recovery will be long and uncertain. At this time, we’ve been told Jesse may be off work for up to a year.

Jesse has always been the backbone of our family. He is our breadwinner and the one who makes sure everyone is taken care of. Just two years ago, we worked incredibly hard and saved everything we could to buy our dream home—a place meant to be filled with memories, laughter, and family gatherings. Now, we are facing the reality of how quickly everything can change.

We are blessed with a big, loving family. We are proud parents to four children, and Jesse is a devoted grandfather to six grandchildren who love and adore him. He is the kind of person who never hesitates to help others—always the first to step in, lend a hand, or put someone else’s needs before his own.

Jesse is also very active in the motorcycle community. He is a strong advocate for motorcycle safety and spends his time teaching new riders how to safely ride and properly handle their bikes. Helping others is simply who Jesse is.

As medical bills continue to grow and everyday living expenses pile up, we are humbly asking for support during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution—no matter the amount—will go directly toward medical expenses and helping our family cover everyday living costs while Jesse focuses on healing.
