I never thought I would be writing a story like this and asking other people for help. But since my motorcycle accident on January 1, 2026, my life has changed in ways I never could have imagined.

It was New Year's Day, and I had spent some time riding with friends and having lunch in Jonesboro. On my way home, I stopped at Dollar General to pick up groceries for the house. Not long afterward, I was involved in a serious motorcycle accident that left me with life-changing injuries.

I was taken to the hospital, where I would spend 16 days. I suffered a serious injury to my left leg along with a fractured left hand. Doctors initially tried to save my foot, and I went through multiple surgeries. After several difficult days and conversations about what my future and quality of life could look like, the decision was ultimately made to amputate my left leg approximately eight inches above the foot.

That is a decision and a reality I am still learning to live with.

Thankfully, my left hand has improved considerably. But losing part of my leg has changed nearly every part of my daily life. Things that used to be simple now require more planning, patience, and adjustment. I was already living on disability before the accident, and the additional medical and everyday expenses have made an already challenging situation even harder.

Motorcycles have always been a big part of my life. Riding gave me freedom, friendship, and something I genuinely loved doing. Even after everything I've been through, that part of who I am hasn't disappeared. I'm determined to continue moving forward and adapting to this new chapter of my life.

I've always been the kind of person who is the first to help somebody else and the last one to ask for help myself. That's what makes starting this HelpVy campaign difficult for me. Asking others for financial support isn't something I'm comfortable doing, but after months of adjusting to life after this accident, I realize that sometimes you have to let people help.

I'm fortunate to have my mom in my life, along with family and friends who have supported me through some very difficult months. Their encouragement has helped me keep moving forward even on the days when things have felt overwhelming.

The funds raised through this campaign will help with medical expenses and everyday living expenses as I continue adjusting, recovering, and rebuilding my life.
