My name is Danae Bailey, and I am organizing this fundraiser for my dear friend Shannon's family.

Shannon was more than a friend to me. She was like a sister.

Like so many people who loved her, I am still struggling to accept what happened on Saturday afternoon, June 13, 2026.

That afternoon, Shannon and her husband, Justin, were riding their motorcycles home on what should have been a normal day. They were simply enjoying a casual ride and looking forward to spending the evening together. Shannon and their son, Nathan, had plans to cook a nice supper that night.

Instead, their lives changed forever.

Justin witnessed the entire accident and continues to carry the heartbreak and trauma of that day. As they were traveling eastbound on Spicewood, a driver suddenly made a right turn in front of them. 

If only the driver had taken two seconds to realize what she was doing, none of this would have happened.

Shannon was taken from her family far too soon.

Justin and Shannon were together for 11 years and married for 7 years. Shannon was an amazing wife, mother, and partner. She was loving, caring, hardworking, and fiercely loyal to the people she loved. She was never afraid to stand up for her family or for what she believed was right.

She loved being Nathan's mom and took tremendous pride in her family. Whether she was at home with her family, helping a friend, or serving customers at work, Shannon always put her heart into everything she did.

Shannon worked for HEB and loved the people she worked with and the customers she served. She had a special way of making people feel welcomed, valued, and cared for.

To those of us who knew and loved her, Shannon was truly an angel. She was the heart of her family, the person who always put others first, and someone who made life better simply by being part of it. While our hearts are broken beyond words, we find comfort in knowing that she is now an angel in Heaven.

Right now, Justin and Nathan are trying to navigate a loss that still does not feel real. They are taking things one day at a time while grieving the loss of an incredible wife, mother, and best friend.

The funds raised will help with funeral expenses and other related costs as the family honors Shannon's life and memory.
