Hi everyone, my name is Heather, and I am writing this fundraising story for my husband, Robert.

On Thursday, July 10, 2026, Robert had just left work and was looking forward to enjoying the weekend when our lives changed in an instant.

Earlier that evening, I had an uneasy feeling that something wasn’t right. I can’t explain it, but I felt compelled to call Robert. When he answered, my heart sank. He told me he had just been involved in a motorcycle accident, the police had just arrived, and the ambulance was on its way.

Robert had been riding on the 101 freeway when traffic slowed. During the incident, his motorcycle became wedged between two vehicles after contact with another vehicle. The other driver left the scene and has not yet been located.

Robert was transported by ambulance to the hospital, where he remained until being discharged late yesterday.

His injuries are extensive. A CT scan revealed five broken ribs, along with a collapsed and punctured lung, abrasions to both hands and knees, and a partial amputation of his left ring finger. While we are incredibly thankful that he survived, his road to recovery will be long and painful.

Robert works as an Operations Manager for a heating and air conditioning company. He truly enjoys the people he works with and the customers he serves every day.

As if everything we’ve been through isn’t enough, the hospital has already begun calling about payment while Robert is still trying to recover.

The funds raised will help with medical expenses and everyday living expenses while Robert focuses on healing.
