My name is Raimie Rodriguez, and I am organizing this fundraiser for myself and my family after being involved in a motorcycle accident yesterday, February 18, 2026.

While traveling through an intersection with a green light, a driver in the opposite lane suddenly turned left directly in front of me. I did everything I could to avoid the collision, but I was unable to stop in time and clipped the rear passenger side of her vehicle. The impact left me with injuries to my head, neck, and left shoulder, along with significant bruising.

This all happened so quickly, and we are still trying to process it. I am currently focused on medical care and recovery, but the pain and limitations are already making it clear that I won’t be able to return to work right away.

Before the accident, I worked as a lighting system and landscape light installer for Astoria Lighting. I take pride in my work and truly enjoy the people I work with and the clients I serve. I’ve always believed in helping others whenever I can — whether it’s showing up for a job, lending a hand to a friend, or supporting someone in need. Being able to provide light and beauty to homes and businesses has always felt meaningful to me.

More than anything, I am a family man. I love my long-time partner and our two children with my whole heart. As the breadwinner of our family, I carry the responsibility of making sure we are taken care of. Not being able to work right now is incredibly difficult for me.

We are asking for help to cover living expenses while I recover and work toward getting back on my feet. This accident happened unexpectedly, and the financial strain of being out of work has already begun to weigh heavily on us.
