My name is Cat Fick, and I am organizing this campaign for my husband, R.J. Fick. 

Last Thursday, R.J. was discharged from the hospital after being involved in a hit and run motorcycle accident. We are incredibly grateful and blessed because we know this accident could have been so much worse.

On April 24, 2026, R.J. was involved in a hit and run while riding his 2018 Harley Davidson Street Glide. He suffered a broken right foot that required surgery with plates and screws, severe road rash, and a major flesh injury on his lower right side that required doctors to remove an area nearly the size of a football. He is currently recovering with a wound vac and  still has a very long road ahead of him.

R.J. is a loving, hardworking, amazing husband and father of two grown sons. He is also a proud grandfather to our precious two and a half month old twin grandbaby boys, who already bring so much joy to the family.

If you know R.J. then you know he would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. He is the absolute last person to ever ask for help himself.

R.J. works as a heavy haul driver, but because of the severity of his injuries, doctors have told us he will likely be unable to work for at least two to three months. The loss of income along with mounting medical bills and daily living expenses has placed a tremendous amount of stress on our family.
