My name is Shelly Hill, and I am organizing this crowdfunding campaign for my husband, Paul Hill.

A few days ago, our lives changed in an instant when Paul was seriously injured in a devastating accident right in our own driveway. The accident was witnessed by me, our son, and one of his closest friends who has become like a second son to our family.

Paul had just purchased a brand new 2026 Harley Davidson Street Glide. While the motorcycle was sitting in neutral on the kickstand, it suddenly lunged forward when he started it and ran him over.

The very next day, Paul underwent surgery on his left leg after suffering a fractured left tibia. Doctors have told us he will be unable to place weight on his leg for at least three months, which means a very long and difficult recovery ahead.

Paul is a proud Air Force veteran, serving 9 years active duty with three tours during Desert Storm. Even today, he continues working alongside the Air Force painting aircraft, something he takes tremendous pride in.

Paul and I have been married for almost 20 years, and we are actually celebrating our wedding anniversary this month. He is a loving, hardworking husband, an incredible dad, and a proud grandfather. When we got married, Paul didn’t just say “I do” to being my husband. He also stepped into the role of being a dad and granddad at the same time, something not many men would do so selflessly.

Our lives revolve around family. We spend every moment we can with our children and grandchildren. Over the years, we also fostered children and eventually adopted two of them into our family.

As a result of his injuries, Paul will be unable to work for several months, and we are asking for help with medical bills and everyday living expenses while he recovers.
