I can't believe I'm writing this story or that I'm in a position where I need to ask others for help.

On August 12, 2026, I was on my lunch break and headed out to grab some pizza when I was involved in a serious motorcycle accident.

In a matter of seconds, an ordinary lunch break turned into something that will affect my life for months to come.

I was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and severe pain. I suffered fractures to my back, tailbone, and ankle, along with severe road rash to my back, shoulder, and elbow and across my abdomen that extends into the underlying tissue. 

During the accident, my dentures fell out and were lost, which means I will also need to have them replaced as part of everything I'm now facing.

After receiving treatment, I was finally released from the hospital yesterday. I'm grateful to be home, but my recovery is only beginning.

The timing of this accident has made everything even more difficult. Just two weeks ago, I started a new job working in truck maintenance. I was excited about this opportunity and already loved the work and the people I worked alongside. Now, instead of building a future at my new job, I'm facing injuries that make it difficult to work and an uncertain road ahead.

The greatest love of my life is my wife, Jennifer. Jennifer and I have been together for 15 years, and she has been by my side through everything. We also have two dogs who are very much part of our family and bring us so much happiness.

Asking people for money isn't easy for me. But right now, the reality is that the bills aren't going to stop while I'm recovering.

The funds raised will help us with medical expenses, everyday living expenses, and replacing the dentures I lost in the accident while I focus on healing.

I know recovery isn't going to happen overnight, but I'm determined to take it one day at a time and work toward getting back to my job and the life I love.
