My name is Hilda de Loera, and I am organizing this fundraiser for my husband, Nixon (Nick) Martinez Reyes, after a serious motorcycle accident that happened on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2026.

That morning, Nixon was heading to work, focused on providing for our family like he always does. While exiting an off-ramp on his motorcycle, a vehicle suddenly turned left directly into his lane. He had no time to avoid the collision. Upon impact, Nixon was thrown approximately 15–20 feet from his motorcycle.

He was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where he received emergency medical care.

Nixon suffered a broken hand, an injured thumb, a right hip injury, road rash, and multiple scrapes to his knees and leg. Being ejected that far from his bike shows just how forceful the impact was. He is now facing weeks of pain, follow-up appointments, and recovery. Doctors have indicated that he will be out of work for at least 2 to 3 months.

Nixon is an incredible husband and father to our four beautiful children, who depend on him every single day. He is the breadwinner of our family and works hard to make sure we are taken care of. Not being able to work during this time has been a heavy burden on him — not just physically, but emotionally as well.

He is also an active member of our church. His faith guides him in everything he does, and he is always willing to lend a helping hand to others. Whether it’s supporting our family or serving his community, Nixon has always put others before himself.

Now, we humbly ask for help.

With Nixon unable to work for the next several months, the financial pressure on our family is immediate. We are asking for support to help cover living expenses while he focuses on healing and regaining his strength.
