Help Nick Recover After His Serious Motorcycle Accident

Law Tigers and Amy Kronstedt are campaign organizers for Nick Jonas.

Hi everyone,

I’m Amy, the sister of Nick, aka “Jonas” and I’m reaching out to ask for your support as he recovers from a serious motorcycle accident.

Last week, Nick was riding through an intersection when a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction attempted to make a left turn on a flashing yellow light directly into his path. He tried to avoid the collision, but there wasn’t enough time.

Nick suffered a broken right ankle in three places, including his tibia and fibula, along with painful road rash, bumps, and bruises. He is currently non-weight-bearing and scheduled for surgery on his ankle this Friday, July 24. Thankfully, his injuries weren’t life-threatening, but he has a long recovery ahead and will be unable to work for a minimum of 12 weeks.

Nick has been the Lead Technician at Assured Security in Bloomington for the past seven years. He takes pride in his work and genuinely enjoys the people he works with and the customers he serves. Giving back has always been important to Nick, and he helped encourage Assured Security’s program that provides each employee with $250 annually to donate to a charity or cause of their choice. Nick has been one of the company’s biggest supporters of volunteerism and has always looked for ways to help others both at work and in the community.

If you know Nick, you know that serving others is a huge part of who he is. Much of his life revolves around the American Legion in Brooklyn Center, where he helped start the Legion Riders chapter and has dedicated countless hours supporting veterans and his community.

If you know him through the Legion, you may actually know him as “Jonas.” His Legion family has always called him by his last name, so many people there may not even realize they know the same person everyone else calls Nick.

Nick is often the person behind the scenes making things happen — volunteering on Sundays for meat raffles, selling raffle tickets for fundraising rides, helping with minnow races at customer appreciation events, and even volunteering for fun events like the pie-in-the-face fundraiser. He also participates in events that support veterans, including the BeliVet Ride supporting service dogs for veterans and the Magnus Run. Whether it’s a fundraiser, a community event, or a chance to support veterans, Nick is there.

Nick has always been the person who shows up to help. He’s also been a strong supporter of his nephew’s high school robotics team, helping raise thousands of dollars so students could build, compete, and learn. He gives his time and energy because he believes in making a difference.

Most importantly, Nick is a devoted husband to his wife, Kristina, and together they raised three children. His family is his greatest source of pride, and they are by his side as he begins this long recovery.

Now it’s our turn to be there for him.

Every donation, no matter the amount, will help ease the financial burden of medical bills and lost income while Nick recovers from surgery and begins the process of getting back on his feet.

If you’re not able to donate, sharing this fundraiser or keeping Nick and our family in your thoughts and prayers is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your kindness, support, and generosity.

— Amy
