I can't believe I'm writing this story or asking for help.

On my way home from work, just minutes from home, my life changed in an instant.

I was involved in a motorcycle accident and was taken by ambulance to the hospital. While I'm incredibly grateful to be here today, I know my road to recovery will take time.

I suffered a fractured collarbone, a fractured shoulder blade, road rash on my right shoulder, bruising behind my ears, and painful injuries to my left shoulder, back, and neck. Still more test coming to evaluate my injuries. I was wearing my dayton helmet or injuries would have been worse if not dead. Every day has been a challenge, but I'm determined to heal and get back to doing what I love.

I work in Industrial Maintenance at General Electric, and I truly love my job and the people I work with. It's a great place to work, and I miss being part of my team while I recover.

Outside of work, I'm a proud member of the Grim Reapers Motorcycle Club, Louisville Chapter, where I've found an incredible sense of brotherhood.

I'm also an active member of the recovery community. By the grace of God and the support of so many amazing people, I've been sober for almost five years. 11-17-21 Recovery has completely changed my life, and helping others on their own journey has become one of my greatest passions.

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm the first person to help someone else and the last person to ask for help. Asking for support doesn't come naturally, but today I truly need it.

The funds raised will help with medical expenses and everyday living expenses while I focus on healing and getting back on my feet.
