My name is Ashley Minard and my fiancé Nathan Minard was involved in a terrible motorcycle accident last week that has completely turned our lives upside down.

Nathan was riding his motorcycle on his way to register it when a car suddenly pulled out directly in front of him. He tried desperately to avoid the collision, struck a curb, and was violently thrown from his bike. In the chaos and shock of the moment, the other driver discouraged calling the police and offered Nathan $60 for the bike. At the time, Nathan didn’t yet realize how badly he was hurt. After leaving the scene, it became clear that his injuries were serious—but by then, he was unable to obtain the other driver’s information.

Nathan suffered broken arms, a fractured right wrist, and head and knee lacerations. Doctors have told us that he may require surgery on both arms and his wrist, which would significantly impact his ability to work and care for himself during recovery.

What makes this even more emotional is that Nathan had just received custody of his 12-year-old son—a moment of pure joy and a new chapter he was so excited to begin. Instead of celebrating this milestone, he is now facing pain, uncertainty, and financial stress while trying to stay strong for his child.

Because of his injuries, Nathan is unable to work, and we are struggling to cover everyday living expenses. The weight of these expenses, combined with the physical and emotional toll of the accident, has been overwhelming.
