I can't believe I'm sitting here writing this story just one day after being involved in a motorcycle accident.  Yesterday, September 3, 2026, I was riding northbound on Alvernon Road in Tucson and proceeding through an intersection when a vehicle turned left across traffic and into my path. Everything happened incredibly fast.

Looking back at the accident, I realize how fortunate I am that things weren't much worse. I was paying attention and saw what was happening in time to brace myself as much as I could before the impact. I was also wearing the proper riding gear. I truly believe that being observant, reacting when I did, and wearing the right gear helped protect me from even more serious injuries.

I suffered a broken left foot along with road rash, and right now my foot is severely swollen. I'm scheduled to see an orthopedic surgeon on September 21 to learn more about the extent of the injury and determine whether I'll need surgery. Until then, I'm dealing with the pain, swelling, limited mobility, and uncertainty of not knowing exactly what the next several weeks or months are going to look like.

One of my biggest concerns is being unable to work. I'm a door to door salesperson for Renewal by Andersen, and I genuinely love my job, the people I work with, and the people I have the opportunity to meet and visit every day. My job isn't something I can do sitting behind a desk. On a typical day, I walk between 5 and 10 miles, going from home to home and talking with people. With a broken foot, that simply isn't possible right now. Until I know whether surgery is required and how long my recovery will take, I don't know when I'll be able to get back to doing the job I enjoy.

The people who mean everything to me are Krystal and our 3-year-old princess, Cecelia. They are the center of my world. Krystal has stood beside me through some of the most important changes in my life, and I give her so much credit for helping me become the man I am today. I've been sober for four years, something I'm incredibly proud of, and Krystal has been an important part of that journey. Together, we've built a life and a family that mean more to me than I can put into words.

The last four years have taught me a lot about appreciating life, working hard, and focusing on what really matters. Being Cecelia's dad is one of the greatest gifts in my life. She's our little princess, and everything I do is ultimately about building a good life for her and our family.

Motorcycles are also a big part of who I am. I love working on motorcycles, fixing them up, and sharing the work I've done on social media. There's something incredibly satisfying about taking a bike, working with my hands, and watching everything come together. After this accident, I know it's going to take time before I'm able to get back to all the things I enjoy.

Right now, there are still many unknowns. I don't know whether I'll need surgery, exactly how long I'll be unable to work, or how long it will take before I can comfortably walk several miles again. What I do know is that the road to recovery could be a long one, and the bills aren't going to stop while I'm healing.

Asking for financial help isn't easy for me, but I'm starting this HelpVy campaign because my family and I could use some support during this unexpected time. The funds raised will help with my medical expenses and everyday living expenses while I'm unable to work and recover from my injuries.

I've worked hard over the last four years to turn my life around and build something I'm proud of with Krystal and Cecelia. This accident is a setback, but I'm determined not to let it take away everything we've worked so hard to build. My focus now is on healing, getting back on my feet, returning to work, and being there for the two people I love most.

If you're able to donate, no matter the amount, Crystal, Cecelia, and I would be incredibly grateful. If you aren't able to contribute financially, sharing my story with others would mean just as much.

I'm thankful this accident wasn't worse, thankful to still be here with my family, and determined to get back on my feet.

Thank you for supporting me and my family during the road ahead.
