My name is Lori, and I am Earle’s wife. I never imagined I would be writing this while sitting beside him in his hospital bed.

Just a few days ago, Earle was out riding his motorcycle with friends, something our family has always loved. During the ride, there was an accident involving multiple motorcycles, and in an instant, everything changed.

I knew something was wrong when his riding buddy called me. I didn’t want to answer, but I did. And that is when I heard the words no one ever wants to hear. Earle had been in a serious accident.

He suffered a head injury, a broken collarbone, broken ribs, a broken right hand, and a deep cut over his left eye that required thirteen stitches. He recently had surgery on his hand where doctors placed pins in his thumb. He is still in the hospital and will soon be moved to a rehabilitation center.

Earle and I have been married for thirty six years. We raised a wonderful son, and we are so proud grandparents to our grandson. We also have our precious daughter, who we absolutely adore. Our family has always shared a deep love for motorcycles.

Earle is retired, but he never slows down. He spends his time rebuilding bikes in the garage and is always the first person to help anyone who needs it. That is just who he is.

Now we are asking for help for him.
