Hello. My name is Dawna Baca. This is the hardest thing I have ever had to write.

My loving husband, Milton Feuge, was in a terrible motorcycle accident on Monday, March 9th. Our lives were changed in a single moment.

On that day, Milton was riding here in Colorado Springs when he struck a pothole that sent him airborne. He came crashing down hard onto his gas tank, and the impact caused devastating injuries — including a fractured sacrum in two places and numbness in his hips, legs, and groin. He required immediate surgery and may still need additional procedures. The road ahead is uncertain, painful, and overwhelming.

Milton is now bedridden.

We are avid motorcycle riders, and the motorcycle community here in Colorado Springs means so much to us. Many of our closest friends come from that community, and riding has always been a big part of our lives together.

Milton is one of the hardest-working, most selfless people I know. He works as the Head of Maintenance at Temple Shalom and United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs, and in the six years we’ve been married, he has only taken one sick day. He is always the first to help others, always showing up, always giving his all.

Seeing him like this has been heartbreaking.

Doctors are telling us he will be unable to work for at least 2 to 3 months, possibly longer depending on his recovery. During this time, we are facing mounting medical bills, a complete loss of income, and the weight of everyday living expenses.

We have always been independent, and asking for help is not easy. But right now, we truly need it.

If you know Milton, you know the kind of man he is — someone who would never hesitate to help anyone else. Now I’m asking, from the bottom of my heart, if you can help him.
