My name is Joe Garcia, and I’m writing this with a heavy heart about my wife, Micky.

The worst moment of my life was seeing her lying on the ground after the accident… not moving. For a split second, I truly thought I had lost her. That feeling is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

Micky and I were just married in August 2025. We were so excited to start this next chapter together, and this trip was supposed to be a simple, happy memory — a three-day mini vacation. We were in Hondo, Texas, about 30 miles outside of San Antonio, looking forward to riding the Twisted Sisters.

Instead, our lives changed in an instant.

Micky was at a red light, waiting to make a left turn. When the light turned green, traffic began to move. But out of nowhere, another driver ran the red light and violently T-boned her.

The impact was devastating.

Micky suffered multiple serious injuries. She is still in the hospital, in a neck brace, and awaiting an MRI for her left shoulder. She has a fractured scapula, a broken rib, and multiple fractures throughout her right leg. Her right knee is severely injured, and she cannot bend it. 

Seeing her in this condition is heartbreaking.

But if you know Micky, you know she is strong.

She is one of the most kind-hearted and uplifting people you will ever meet. No matter what she’s going through, she always finds a way to stay positive and help others.

Micky serves as the Texas State Director for the Freedom Cruisers Riding Club, where she dedicates her time to giving back. She and her fellow riders support countless causes — from helping veterans and wounded warriors, to breast cancer awareness, to toy drives for children.

She has spent her life showing up for others.

Now, she needs others to show up for her.

Micky is self-employed and runs Illusion Property Management, where she manages HOAs. Because of this accident, she is unable to work, and her income has come to a sudden stop.

Her road to recovery will be long, and the journey ahead will not be easy.

We are now facing overwhelming medical expenses, along with the stress of everyday living costs during her recovery.
