I never imagined I would be writing a story like this.

On June 19, 2026, I was involved in a serious motorcycle accident that changed my life in an instant. Looking back, I know how fortunate I am to still be here. It could have been so much worse.

I was rushed to the hospital after the accident and, over the past week, have been treated at two different hospitals. As I write this, I am finally being discharged, but my recovery is only beginning.

My injuries include a broken pelvis, a broken left foot, multiple broken metacarpals in my right hand, fractured ribs, a deep laceration to my left shin down to the bone, bruised lungs, a concussion, internal bleeding around my left eye, and a shearing injury to my right leg. I have already undergone surgery on my right hand, and doctors have told me that the road to recovery will be long.

I work as a truck driver delivering fuel, and I truly enjoy my job, the people I work with, and the customers I serve. Unfortunately, because of my injuries, I will be off work while I recover, and that means no income coming in.

The greatest joy in my life is my wife, Kaitlyn, and our two young boys. They are my reason for fighting through the pain and staying focused on getting better.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am usually the first person to help someone else and the last person to ask for help. Today, however, I find myself needing the kindness and support of others while I heal.

The funds raised will help with medical expenses and everyday living expenses during my recovery while I am unable to work.
