I can't believe I'm writing this story or that I'm in a position where I need to ask others for help.

On August 11, 2026, I was riding my motorcycle on my way to work when I was involved in a serious accident. I tried to avoid another vehicle and ended up going off the roadway and into a ditch.

I went to the hospital that same day and have since been evaluated by an orthopedic specialist. I suffered a fracture and sprain to my right ankle, road rash on both arms, and significant bruising and soreness throughout my body.

Right now, I'm in a walking boot and using crutches to get around. I can't be on my feet the way I normally would, and unfortunately, that means I can't do my job.

I'm a hairstylist, and I truly love what I do. I love the people I work alongside and the clients I have the honor of serving. My career requires me to spend most of my day on my feet, so until my ankle heals and I can safely stand again, working simply isn't possible.

And for me, no work means no pay.

That's a difficult reality when the medical expenses and everyday bills continue to come regardless of whether I'm able to earn an income.

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm usually the first person to help someone else and the last person to ask for help. Asking people to donate to me isn't something that comes naturally, but right now, I realize I could use the support of the people around me.

At home, I also have three cats who are a big part of my life and are keeping me company while I'm off my feet and recovering.

The funds raised through this campaign will help with medical expenses and everyday living expenses while I heal and work toward getting back behind the chair and doing the job I love.
