My name is Preston "Bubba" Beggs, and I am writing this story for my wife, Lisa.

On Saturday morning, June 13, 2026, we were on our way to the Three Sisters ride to participate in a memorial tribute for a fellow motorcycle rider when our lives changed in an instant.

I was following behind in my vehicle while Lisa rode ahead of me on her motorcycle. I couldn't ride because of my injuries from a recent accident.

What happened next is something I will never forget. I witnessed the entire accident, and it was one of the most helpless and heartbreaking moments of my life.

We are incredibly thankful that things were not even worse. We are especially grateful for Katrina, a volunteer EMT, who happened to be nearby and immediately provided first aid to Lisa until additional help arrived.

Lisa was airlifted to University Hospital in San Antonio, where she remained for seven days. She underwent surgery for a fractured fibula and facial injuries before finally being released this past Saturday.

Her recovery will not be easy. Lisa cannot place any weight on her leg for at least eight weeks, and the road ahead will require patience, determination, and healing.

Anyone who knows Lisa knows she has spent her life helping others. For the past 31 years, she has worked as a physical therapist assistant, helping people recover from injuries and regain their quality of life. Now, for the first time, she finds herself on the other side of recovery.

Lisa is an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother, a hardworking professional, and someone who genuinely cares about the people around her.

We have been married for five awesome years, and watching her go through this has been incredibly difficult.

The funds raised will help with medical expenses and everyday living expenses while Lisa is unable to work for quite a while as she focuses on healing.
