My name is Marrick, and I am organizing this campaign for my husband, Lester Payne, after he was involved in a serious motorcycle accident that has left our family facing a long and difficult recovery.

Lester was riding on Interstate 565 when traffic ahead of him suddenly became dangerous after multiple vehicles began colliding. While trying to safely avoid the crash, his motorcycle’s back tire suddenly broke loose, causing him to lose control and crash into another vehicle.

After the accident, Lester was treated for his injuries and later taken to the hospital, where doctors discovered he suffered a broken left wrist, a painful pelvic straddle injury, and a deep laceration on his finger that required stitches. Doctors have told us he will be unable to work for at least six weeks, and there is still a possibility he may require surgery on his wrist.

Lester and I have been married for almost six years, and together we are raising our four amazing children. He is the most loving, hardworking, and family oriented man I know. Every free moment he has is spent with our children because family means everything to him.

Lester works as a warehouse manager for Kohler, and he truly loves his job and the people he works with. He is also the breadwinner of our family, so this accident has created an overwhelming amount of financial stress while he is unable to work and recover properly.

We are asking for help with medical bills and everyday living expenses so Lester can focus on healing and get back to providing for his family as soon as possible.
