Hi everyone, my name is Leroy Farmer.

On March 30, 2026, my wife Tina and I were out for a nice spring motorcycle ride, just enjoying time together like we’ve done for years.

In an instant, everything changed.

Another vehicle suddenly merged into us and sideswiped us, causing us to go down hard. We were both taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital.

I suffered road rash across much of my body, and since then, I’ve been having a hard time walking and lifting. Tina’s injuries were even more serious—she has three broken ribs, along with bruising and abrasions, and she had to stay in the hospital for two days.

Watching her go through that has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever experienced.

The truth is, it could have been much worse. I truly believe God was looking down on us that day, and we’re incredibly grateful to still be here.

I’m a disabled veteran, a husband for 25 years, and a father to two amazing children. I’m also the owner and operator of Farmer Firearms and Gunsmithing here in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

I take a lot of pride in what I do. I love my customers, and I’ve always worked hard to provide for my family. I also volunteer with Disabled American Veterans and both Tina and I are active in our Catholic Church, Immaculate Conception, because giving back has always been important to us.

We’re not the kind of people who ask for help, but right now, we need it.

As a result of my injuries, I’m limited physically, and that directly affects my ability to work and earn a living. As a small business owner, if I can’t be there working with my hands, the income just isn’t there.

Now, with both Tina and I injured, we’re facing medical bills and everyday living expenses at the same time our income has been impacted.

It’s a difficult position to be in, and not one I ever expected.
