I can't believe I'm writing this story.

On May 14, 2026, my life changed in an instant when I was involved in a serious motorcycle accident.

Looking back, I'm incredibly thankful to be alive because I know the accident could have been much worse.

I spent a total of six days in the hospital, including three days in the Intensive Care Unit. My injuries included nine broken ribs, a deep bruise to my left hip, and a sprained knee. Even the simplest movements are painful, and recovery has been slow.

I'm retired, so I never expected to find myself facing unexpected medical bills and additional living expenses while trying to recover.

One of the greatest blessings in my life has been my motorcycle family. I am a proud member of Gavel MC in Longview, Texas, where I serve as a National Elder. The friendships, fellowship, and support I've found through the club have meant more to me than words can express.

Anyone who knows me knows that asking for help isn't something I do easily. I've always believed in taking care of myself and helping others whenever I can. That's what makes writing this story so difficult.

Today, though, I find myself needing the kindness and support of others as I continue to heal.

The funds raised will help with medical expenses and everyday living expenses while I focus on recovering and getting back to the life I enjoy.
