My name is Justin Fleming, and I never imagined I would find myself in a position where I needed to ask for help like this.

On May 7th, I was on my way to work when I was involved in a motorcycle accident. A vehicle pulled out in front of me while I was riding on the highway. I locked my brakes trying to avoid the collision and ended up sliding across the roadway.

I was taken to the emergency room with severe road rash on both of my arms and across my back, along with a broken heel and injuries to my right ankle. Since the accident, I have been having a very difficult time with walking, lifting, and handling normal everyday activities. Doctors have also scheduled additional medical imaging this week to determine the full extent of the injuries to my right ankle.

I have been riding motorcycles for over 30 years, and riding has always been something I truly love. Some of my favorite memories have been riding with my friends and family, and I have always enjoyed customizing bikes and making them my own.

I work hard as an engineer with Norfolk Southern Railroad, and I am also a proud member of SMART UTU 0772. I truly love my job and the people I work with. Providing for my family has always been my top priority. I have a wonderful wife and two children who mean everything to me, and being the breadwinner of our household makes this situation even more stressful.

Truthfully, I feel uncomfortable asking people for money because I have always tried to handle things on my own. But with medical expenses piling up and being limited physically after this accident, I know I need help getting through this difficult time.

As a result of my injuries, I am asking for support with medical bills and everyday living expenses while I recover and work toward getting back on my feet.
