I can't believe I'm writing this story from my hospital bed.

Less than 24 hours ago, my life changed in an instant.

On the evening of June 29, 2026, I was riding my motorcycle through Rapid City when a truck suddenly turned in front of me, leaving me with nowhere to go. The impact sent me into a devastating collision that I am still trying to process.

Right now, I am still in the hospital recovering from a dislocated shoulder, a fractured left arm, a broken right wrist that will require surgery, a fractured right thumb, and a fractured right ankle.

As I sit here, I can't help but think about how much worse this could have been. I thank God that I am still here.

Just a week and a half before the accident, I started a new job as an Assistant Manager at Grease Monkey. I was excited for this opportunity and was already enjoying the people I work with and the customers I serve. Unfortunately, with the severity of my injuries, I know I will be off work for quite some time.

The greatest joy in my life is my four children. I share 50/50 custody with them, and being an active dad has always meant everything to me. The reality of not being able to care for them the way I want to because of these injuries has been one of the hardest parts of all of this.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am usually the first person to help someone else and the last person to ask for help myself.

Today, I find myself needing that help.

The funds raised will help with medical expenses and everyday living expenses while I focus on surgeries, recovery, and getting back on my feet for my kids.
