Hello. My name is Samantha. This is the hardest thing I ever had to write. 

My loving husband Joe Farina was in a terrible accident this past Saturday. Our lives were changed in one split second.

On February 28th, Joe was test driving a motorcycle on Hope Mills in North Carolina when a vehicle pulling a long hitch trailer attempted to bypass traffic. Joe had no time to react and collided with the trailer. The impact left him with catastrophic injuries — an open pelvic fracture, a shattered right kneecap, and a shattered left wrist. He has already undergone emergency medical care and faces multiple surgeries, a long hospitalization, and extensive rehabilitation. The road ahead will be painful and uncertain.

My husband is a God‑fearing, deeply loving man one who pours himself into his family, his faith, and his calling. He is a physical health education teacher at Overhills School, a full time varsity coach, He rides for the Soldiers for Jesus Motorcycle Club, a brotherhood rooted in ministry, accountability, and service. Together, he and I serve as Student Ministry leaders at Impact Church of Spring Lake, a place that has become our spiritual home and the foundation of our transformation. Our journey with Impact has shaped us, strengthened us, and taught us what it means to walk in purpose. We have dedicated our lives to helping young people find hope, identity, and truth in Christ.

And now, we find ourselves in a season where we must lean on the very faith we have spent years pouring into others.

The injuries he sustained are serious, and the recovery ahead is long and overwhelming. As the primary breadwinner of our family, his inability to work has placed us in a vulnerable and frightening position. I am doing everything I can to hold our home together, to care for our daughter, and to stay strong for him but the reality is that we cannot walk this road alone.

We are humbly asking for help and support in any way prayers, encouragement, resources, or assistance. Anything that helps lighten the weight pressing on our family during this unexpected and painful chapter.

Our faith tells us that God is near to the brokenhearted, that He restores, that He provides. We are clinging to that truth with everything we have.
