Law Tigers and Judith Teran are campaign organizers for Jeremiah Teran.
Hi, my name is Judith, and I’m Jeremiah’s mom.
No mother or father is ever prepared for the call that their child has been in a terrible accident. On March 25th, our world changed in an instant when we learned that our 24-year-old son, Jeremiah, had been seriously hurt on his way to work.
Jeremiah was riding his bike on a main road, heading to his job as a nozzleman with BAM Shotcrete—a job he truly loves—when a driver made a left turn while pulling a trailer, blocking all lanes and making it impossible to avoid the crash. The impact threw him hard onto the ground.
The police arrived, cited the driver, and Jeremiah was rushed by ambulance to the hospital.
What followed was every parent’s worst nightmare.
Jeremiah spent the following days in the ICU, undergoing four surgeries in an effort to repair damaged arteries and save his leg from immediate amputation. After multiple attempts using his own arteries were unsuccessful, doctors had to place a stent to restore and maintain circulation.
His injuries are severe—his leg was badly damaged, and there was significant vascular trauma affecting his entire left side.
Today, Jeremiah is home, but our journey is far from over.
He is currently in a wheelchair and unable to walk. Doctors have told us that his recovery will be long and uncertain, and there is still a possibility that he could lose his leg. As parents, that is something no one should ever have to hear.
Jeremiah is one of the most hardworking and kind-hearted people we know. He’s always been a homebody—never one to get into trouble, always focused on work and helping others. He takes pride in what he does, and his coworkers mean a lot to him.
What makes this even more heartbreaking is that Jeremiah has already endured so much in his young life. Five years ago, he lost his older brother in a tragic event. Watching him now face another life-altering challenge is incredibly difficult for our entire family.
Despite everything, Jeremiah is staying strong. But he needs help.
We are asking for support to help cover:
Jeremiah has always been the one to show up for others—now we are asking for others to show up for him.
If you’re unable to donate, we completely understand—please consider sharing Jeremiah’s story with your friends, family, or on social media. Every share can make a meaningful difference.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your prayers, your support, and your kindness during this incredibly difficult time.
With love and gratitude,
Judith 💙🙏
