Hi everyone, my name is Lorena, and my husband, Jaime Almaguer, was involved in a serious motorcycle accident a couple of weeks ago.

One of the worst phone calls a wife can ever receive is from the police telling you that your husband has been involved in a serious accident.

When I received that call, my heart sank.

The first thing I did was thank God that Jaime was still alive because I know this accident could have been so much worse.

On June 10, 2026, Jaime was riding his motorcycle on FM 1960 when another driver attempted to make a U-turn and turned directly into his path, causing a devastating collision.

Jaime was rushed to the hospital, where he spent two days in the Intensive Care Unit followed by four additional days in the hospital. He has since been transferred to a rehabilitation center, where he is continuing the long journey toward recovery.

His injuries are severe. Jaime suffered internal bleeding in his head, a fractured sternum, multiple broken ribs, a ruptured lung, and a fractured left ankle. Every day brings new challenges, but we are thankful for the progress he is making.

Jaime and I have been together for nine wonderful years and married for six. Anyone who knows him knows he is hardworking, family-oriented, and always willing to lend a helping hand.

He works as a cabinet maker, building custom cabinetry for corporate offices. He truly enjoys his job and takes great pride in creating something lasting for the people and businesses he serves.

Our faith has been an anchor throughout this difficult time. We are grateful to be members of St. Edith Stein Catholic Church in Katy, Texas, and we continue to lean on God, our family, and our friends as Jaime heals.

The road to recovery will be long, and with Jaime unable to work, the financial burden of medical bills and everyday living expenses continues to grow.

The funds raised will help with medical expenses and everyday living expenses while Jaime focuses on healing and rehabilitation.
