On September 11, 2026, I was involved in a serious accident in Fort Worth, Texas, that left me injured, shaken, and facing expenses I never expected. 

I was thrown from my bike and taken to the hospital by ambulance. I suffered a concussion, severe road rash on both arms, facial swelling and scrapes, an injury to my right eye, and significant pain throughout the right side of my body.

The road rash was especially difficult. For the first week after the accident, I couldn't even dress myself because of the pain and damage to my arms.

I'm incredibly grateful I was wearing my helmet. Looking back at what happened, I truly believe there was some divine intervention that day.

One of the people who has helped me most through all of this is my girlfriend, Kami. She helped me get dressed when I couldn't do it myself, prepared meals for me, and made sure I rested instead of trying to push myself too quickly. I don't think my recovery would have gone nearly as smoothly without her by my side.

I work as a forklift operator, so suffering a concussion created another challenge. Operating heavy equipment requires me to be completely alert and focused, and I had to take time away from work while recovering. I'm thankful that I've now been able to return, but the financial impact of missing work, along with medical bills and other expenses from the accident, has added up quickly.

I've always been more comfortable handling things myself than asking others for help, but right now, even a little support would make a meaningful difference.
