I honestly can't believe I'm sitting here writing this story and asking people for help. I've always believed in working hard, taking care of myself, and handling whatever life puts in front of me. On Wednesday,  September 2, 2026, everything changed in a matter of seconds when I was involved in a motorcycle accident on my way to work.

I was riding through an intersection after my light turned green when another vehicle came through the intersection and struck me. One moment, I was simply heading to work like I had done so many times before, and the next, I was dealing with injuries, pain, and the uncertainty of what comes next.

I broke my right middle toe in two places and suffered road rash on my right elbow, left shoulder, and other areas of my body. Right now, I'm in a walking boot and using crutches to get around. My right foot remains sore and swollen, and I'm concerned there may be additional injuries to my right foot that haven't been fully identified yet. I'm hoping to get more answers as I continue with medical care and follow up appointments.

Before this accident, going to work and earning a living was simply part of my everyday life. I'm an electrician, and I genuinely love what I do and the people I work with. I'm used to being on my feet, moving around, and physically doing my job. Being in a boot and on crutches makes that incredibly difficult, and right now I don't know exactly when I'll be able to return to work and get back to my normal routine.

That's one of the hardest parts of all of this. An accident doesn't stop the bills from arriving. Now, in addition to my normal living expenses, I have medical expenses and the uncertainty that comes with being unable to work normally while I recover. I never expected to find myself in a position where I would need to ask others for financial help, and writing these words isn't easy for me.

I'm starting this HelpVy campaign because I could use some help getting through this unexpected chapter. The money raised will go toward my medical expenses and everyday living expenses while I recover and work toward getting back on my feet and back to the job I love.
