My name is Dominic, and on Easter Sunday, my life changed forever in a matter of seconds.

I was out riding my motorcycle, and the next thing I remember is waking up in the hospital with no memory of the accident or even the first week afterward. What I later learned was devastating.

I suffered a collapsed lung, ruptured bladder, broken ribs, a broken shoulder blade, and severe injuries to my lower body. My pelvis and tailbone were shattered, requiring doctors to place six pins into my body during major surgery. I was hospitalized for 10 days, and doctors have told me my recovery will take at least six months.

Right now, I am unable to use my legs at all. Everyday things most people never think twice about — getting dressed, moving around, getting to doctor appointments, or handling basic daily tasks — have become extremely difficult. Losing my independence has been one of the hardest parts of this entire experience.

Just months before the accident, I started my company, Impeccable Ttrades, cleaning Airbnb homes and renovating properties. I worked incredibly hard to build something for myself and my future, but everything has now been put on hold.

I also share custody of my beautiful five-year-old daughter, and not being able to provide for her the way I normally would has been heartbreaking.

My mom has sacrificed everything to help me through this. She quit her job to care for me full-time, help me get to appointments, and even try to keep parts of my business running while I recover. Because of the level of care I need right now, even simple tasks can sometimes feel impossible without help.

Between lost income, medical bills, rehabilitation, transportation, and everyday living expenses, the financial burden has become overwhelming for both of us.
