I never imagined I would be writing a story like this.This past Wednesday, I was involved in a motorcycle accident that left me dealing with injuries, uncertainty, and a long road to recovery.

Right now, I am still undergoing medical evaluations. I am waiting on the results of a CT scan on my lower back and spine to determine whether there are any fractures, and I am also awaiting results to find out if my wrist was fractured in the accident.

In addition to those concerns, I suffered injuries to both hands and both knees, along with lacerations to my hands, elbow, arm, and knees. Everyday tasks have become much more difficult than they used to be.

I work in construction as a Heavy Equipment Operator, performing asphalt work. I genuinely love my job and the crew I work with every day. Unfortunately, there is no light duty work available, which means I will be off work while I recover and wait for answers about the full extent of my injuries.

The most important part of my life is my family. The love of my life is my two beautiful daughters, one who is 9 years old and another who is just 5 years old. They are my motivation to keep pushing forward every day.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am usually the first person to stop and help someone in need and the last person to ask for help myself. Last week I pulled over on the side of the road to help another rider who was having motorcycle trouble.

I am also proud to ride with the Minnesota iNDEP Riders, a group of riders who look out for one another and share a passion for the riding community.

With the accident happening only days ago, I am still trying to process everything while focusing on healing and taking things one day at a time.

The funds raised will help with medical expenses and everyday living expenses while I am unable to work and focus on recovery.
