My name is Daniel Carrera, and I never thought I’d be in a position where I’d have to ask for help like this.

On Monday, April 20^th, on my way home, everything changed in an instant.

I was involved in a motorcycle accident while making a left-hand turn when I was struck, leaving me with a broken right leg.

I was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where I remained for three days and underwent surgery on my right leg.

I’ve always worked hard to build a better future for myself. I’m currently attending Los Angeles Trade Tech, working toward becoming a diesel mechanic, while also working as a cashier to make ends meet.

Right now, all of that has been put on hold.

Doctors have told me that I will be out of work and school for several months, and the road ahead is going to be long.

I truly believe that God was looking after me, and that I’ve been given a second chance at life.

As a result of this accident, I’m now facing medical and living expenses during a time when I’m unable to earn income.

Asking for help is not easy for me, but right now, I truly need it.
