Hi everyone, my name is Katee Hodge, and I am writing this story for one of my oldest and dearest friends, Daniel Dixon. Daniel and I have been friends since the 4th grade, and I can honestly say he is one of the kindest and hardest-working people I know.

Last Friday evening, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Daniel had just left work when his life changed in an instant.

Daniel was involved in a serious motorcycle accident and was rushed by ambulance to the hospital, where he remains today.

He suffered a shattered knee, shattered shin, and shattered ankle. He has already undergone one surgery on his leg and is expected to have another surgery once the swelling goes down. His doctors have told him that his road to recovery will be long, and they expect he may be unable to return to work until December.

Daniel works as a metal fabricator and ironworker, a career he takes great pride in. He's one of those people who isn't afraid of hard work and has always done everything he can to provide for his family. As the primary breadwinner, being unable to work has placed an enormous financial burden on those he loves most.

The greatest blessings in Daniel's life are his girlfriend, his 9-year-old daughter, and his 6-year-old son. They are his world, and they are the reason he's determined to fight through the difficult months of recovery ahead.

If you know Daniel, you know he's always the first one to help someone else and the last one to ask for help himself. That's exactly why I'm asking on his behalf today.

The funds raised will help with medical expenses and everyday living expenses while Daniel focuses on healing and getting back on his feet.
