On May 2026, Michelle and I were involved in a serious accident in Clinton, Tennessee, and both of us were taken to the hospital by ambulance. The profile picture on this campaign was taken of Michelle and me about 20 minutes before our accident. We were together, enjoying what was supposed to be a simple ride, with no idea how dramatically our lives were about to change.

My injuries were extensive. I suffered serious damage to my upper right arm and right leg, requiring surgeries, plates, and screws to repair the damage. I spent nearly a month in the hospital and eventually came home in a wheelchair.

Months later, I'm still recovering. I've progressed from the wheelchair to using one crutch, but my right arm continues to give me significant problems. I can barely reach above my head, and my doctors still haven't cleared me to return to work.

Michelle was also seriously injured. She suffered a severe injury to her right ankle and foot that required surgery with a plate and screws. Her surgery had to wait until the swelling went down.

Before all of this, I worked wherever I could and did a little bit of everything to make a living. My regular job at the time was at McDonald's. Being unable to work all summer and continuing to be out of work has created an overwhelming financial strain.

I'm also proud to have served in the Army National Guard as an infantryman. I've always believed in doing my part and taking care of myself and the people around me.

Now, Michelle and I are the ones who could use some help.

Hospital bills and everyday expenses have continued piling up while we've been trying to heal, and I've already had to turn to friends and family for help just to keep going.
