I'm not someone who likes asking other people for help. I've always been much more comfortable helping someone else, which is what makes writing this story so difficult.

On September 8, 2026, I was riding my motorcycle to pick up medication when I was involved in a serious accident. I was taken to the hospital and learned that I had suffered a broken nose, fractures around my eye socket, a badly bruised left foot, and significant road rash across my body. Thankfully, doctors do not believe I need surgery for the orbital fractures at this time.

I'm also incredibly thankful that I was wearing my helmet. I've always worn one when I ride, and after seeing the damage caused by this accident, I know things could have been much worse.

I'm now home recovering with the people who mean the most to me. My longtime partner Julie, and my nephew, Cage, are a huge part of my life. They depend on me, and I depend on them too, especially now as I work through the pain and limitations caused by my injuries.

I've always tried to be the first person to help and the last person to ask for help. I especially enjoy helping senior citizens in my community. Whether someone needs something done around their home, a ride somewhere, or simply an extra hand, I've always tried to be there when I can.

Now I'm the one who needs a little help.

That's why I'm starting this HelpVy campaign. Funds raised will help with my medical expenses and everyday living expenses while I continue recovering from this accident.
