I can't believe it's already been seven months since my life changed forever.

On December 12, 2025, I was driving through an intersection when another vehicle struck my car at high speed. Even though I was only beginning to move through the stop sign, the impact left me with a severe concussion, balance problems, and injuries that continue to affect my life every single day.

I never imagined that the accident would lead to everything that followed.

While still recovering, I fell off a roof in April because of the balance issues caused by the accident. That fall resulted in even more serious injuries.

Since then, I have undergone major neck surgery, where doctors removed my C5, C6, and C7 vertebrae and stabilized my neck with a plate and eight screws. Doctors also believe I suffered a stroke in April, and I continue to deal with nerve damage, mobility issues, and ongoing pain.

Today, I rely on a wheelchair and a walker occasionally, and wear a C-spine collar as I continue my recovery. Simple daily activities have become challenges I never imagined facing.

Before all of this happened, I worked as a substitute teacher. I truly loved my job and enjoyed spending time with the students I taught. Unfortunately, I have not been able to return to work because my doctors have not cleared me to drive.

The past seven months have been some of the most difficult of my life, but I continue to take things one day at a time and remain hopeful for the future.

The funds raised will help with medical expenses, continued rehabilitation, and everyday living expenses while I continue my recovery and work toward regaining my independence.
