Hi everyone, my name is Artee McKoy, and I’m reaching out after being involved in a hit-and-run motorcycle accident this past Monday, March 16, 2026.

I was on my way home when another driver rear-ended me and fled the scene, leaving me injured and alone. In a matter of seconds, everything changed.

Since the accident, I’ve been dealing with road rash on my right leg, along with pain in my shoulder, neck, and lower back. I’m also having difficulty using my right arm, which has made even basic daily tasks extremely challenging.

I’m a gig worker, and I rely on working every day just to support my son and provide for myself. Right now, I’m unable to work the way I normally do, and that’s been incredibly stressful.

To make matters worse, I recently learned that I was underinsured, and I don’t have coverage to protect me in a situation like this—especially since the driver who hit me took off and may not have insurance at all.

My motorcycle was completely totaled, and I now have no mode of transportation. Losing both my ability to work and my transportation at the same time has put me in an extremely difficult position.

Anyone who knows me knows I’m always willing to help others. I love people and try to show up for those around me however I can.

Now, I’m the one who needs help.

I’m asking for support to help cover my living expenses while I recover and rebuild. This has been one of the hardest moments of my life, and any support would mean more than I can put into words.
