I've faced difficult challenges in my life, including serving our country in the United States Army, but I never expected a motorcycle accident to suddenly put me in a position where I would need to ask others for help.

On the morning of August 17, 2026, I was riding my motorcycle to an appointment at when I was involved in a serious accident on Interstate 8.

I was able to get my motorcycle safely off the freeway, and a friend rushed me to the hospital. I suffered three broken bones in my left foot, two dislocated joints, and significant lacerations that required stitches. My foot was placed in a cast, and the injuries have made everyday life much more difficult.

I'm incredibly grateful things weren't worse.

I'm a U.S. Army veteran who deployed to Iraq in 2009, and my military service will always be an important part of who I am. I'm also a member of the VFW, and the veteran community continues to mean a great deal to me.

One of my closest companions through everything is my service dog, Athina. She's been by my side through difficult chapters of my life, and right now her companionship means more than ever.

This accident has created new medical and financial challenges at a time when I was already working hard to move forward with my life.

Asking for financial help isn't easy for me. I've always tried to handle challenges on my own, but I've learned that sometimes accepting help is part of moving forward.

That's why I'm starting this HelpVy campaign. Funds raised will help with my medical expenses and everyday living expenses while I continue recovering and working toward getting back on my feet.

If you're able to donate or share my story, I would be sincerely grateful.

Thank you for supporting a veteran during a difficult chapter.
