On October 2, 2026, I was on my way to work when I was involved in a serious accident that left me dealing with injuries that have affected nearly every part of my daily life.

I was thrown from my bike and landed on my head before being transported to the hospital.

I suffered a hematoma on the back of my head, a concussion, a neck injury, back pain, significant left knee pain, and widespread bruising.

Since the accident, the symptoms involving my head have been especially concerning. I have been dealing with constant headaches, difficulty remembering certain things, slower mental processing, and changes in my speech. I have already undergone a CT scan, and additional evaluation of my head is being arranged.

Before the accident, I worked as a behavior intervention specialist with special education students from K through 12, including children who are considered at risk.

I love the work I do, the students I help, and the people I work alongside. But right now, I am unable to work, and when I am not working, I am not getting paid.

Before beginning my career in education, I spent about nine years serving in Army logistics. After leaving the military in 2021, I found another way to serve by working withspecial education students and young people who need support, patience, and someone willing to believe in them.

My family is also a huge part of my life. My fiancée, Sophia, and I have been together for eight years, and between us we have five amazing children.

Right now, my focus is on healing, getting answers about the symptoms I am experiencing, and being able to return to my students and family as the person they know me to be.
