My name is Jeimy Hernandez, and I am writing this on behalf of my partner, Armando Rivera.

On July 30, 2026, Armando was on his way to the gym when he was involved in a serious motorcycle accident.

I wasn’t with him when the accident happened. I received a call from Armando’s mom telling me that he had been in a serious accident, and my heart immediately dropped. I rushed to the hospital as quickly as I could, not knowing what I was going to find when I got there.

Seeing Armando lying in that hospital bed is something I will never forget. I saw someone I love deeply in pain and agony, struggling with injuries that I never imagined I would have to see him endure. He was disoriented and not fully himself. Watching him suffer was heartbreaking. In that moment, all I could do was stand beside him, pray, and thank God that despite everything his body had been through, he was still here with us.

We know how much worse this accident could have been, and we are incredibly grateful that Armando survived through God’s grace.

As a result of the accident, Armando suffered a collapsed lung (pneumothorax), three fractured ribs, a concussion, a lacerated lip, and multiple contusions and abrasions throughout his body. His body has endured significant trauma, and his recovery will take time, physically, emotionally, and mentally.

Anyone who knows Armando knows the kind of person he is.

He is loving, family-oriented, hardworking, dependable, and a man of Christian faith. He has always been someone who takes care of the people he loves. He is the person who shows up when someone needs help, gives what he can, and puts others before himself.

Armando is also a very proud person. Asking for help has never come easily to him. He is much more comfortable being the one who steps forward to help someone else than being the one who needs help himself.

But right now, Armando needs us.

This accident has brought financial challenges during a time when his only focus should be healing and recovering. The road ahead will not be easy, and we want to make sure he has the support he needs without having to carry the additional weight of worrying about how everything will be paid for.

Our faith has been a source of strength throughout this difficult time. We continue to thank God for protecting Armando and giving him another day, another opportunity to heal, and more time with the people who love him.
