Law Tigers and Brian Weichers are campaign organizers for Megan White.
Hi, my name is Brian Weichers, and I’m writing this for my girlfriend, Megan White. On the night of August 22, 2025, what should have been a simple ride to a Texas barbecue turned into a nightmare. Megan was a passenger on a 2000 Harley Davidson when the back tire bolt is believed to have dislodged. She was thrown from the bike and severely injured.
When the ambulance and police arrived, her blood pressure was at stroke level — 199/111 — and she was losing blood quickly. EMTs had to drill into her shoulder bone to start an IV and do a blood transfusion directly into her marrow to save her life. She was rushed to Memorial Hermann at the Texas Medical Center’s trauma unit, where they worked to stabilize her, get her on oxygen, and manage her extreme pain.
Megan’s injuries are extensive: a four-inch deep laceration to her head with part of her scalp and hair torn out, a ruptured artery outside her skull, a hole in her cheek, a torn tendon in her left hand, nerve damage and severe road rash down to the bone in her left hand, and extensive road rash across her hip, back, and body. She spent six days in the hospital and is now recovering at home, still on two antibiotics as debris continues to surface from her wounds. Surgery on her hand may still be required, and her healing journey will be long.
Adding to the challenge, there is uncertainty with the insurance coverage for the motorcycle. The policy had lapsed just before the accident, and although a payment was made the following day, it is not yet clear if any medical costs will be covered. This has left Megan and her family facing even greater financial strain as they navigate her care and recovery.
What makes this even harder is the possibility that Megan’s hand and nerve injuries could affect her ability to do the things she loves most. She has always been an avid golfer, and there is a real fear she may never play the same again. She was also just a step away from returning to her passion for coaching gymnastics, but the damage to her hand and nerves has made those dreams uncertain. These aren’t just physical injuries — they are life-changing.
Megan is blessed to have her dad, stepmom, sister Taylor and her husband Will close by and her sister Ashley and husband Paul in Nashville but Megan deeply feels the absence of her mom, who passed away in 2012. As Megan continues to heal, we’re asking for your help — whether it’s $20, $50, or even $1,000 if you’re able. With the uncertainty of insurance coverage and on going medical bills, your generosity truly makes all the difference. Every donation goes directly toward her medical expenses, lost income, and the essentials she needs to keep going.
Thank you for standing with Megan and giving her hope as she fights her way back. ❤️
