Law Tigers and Wendy Brill are campaign organizers for Elijah Barela.

Hi, my name is Wendy Brill, and I am reaching out on behalf of my son, Elijah Barela. On the morning of September 23, 2025, Elijah was on his way to work when the accident happened. He was riding his Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle, heading to the job he loves as a mechanic. Elijah has been with his current workplace for two years, but his passion and skill for fixing and building run deep — he has been a mechanic for more than nine years.

As he was going through a green light, another vehicle suddenly pulled out in front of him. Elijah had no chance to avoid the collision. He was rushed by ambulance to Memorial Centre Hospital, where he underwent CT scans, x-rays, and additional imaging. His injuries include severe bruising, painful road rash, and issues with his hip that now leave him walking with a cane.

Elijah’s greatest pride and joy are his two small children, who live with him in his apartment. He is doing everything he can to stay strong for them, but recovery is slow, and the medical bills, therapy costs, and everyday expenses are piling up. While Elijah continues to fight through the pain, the financial stress is making a difficult situation even harder.

Elijah is a hardworking father, a loyal friend, and someone who would give the shirt off his back to help others. Now he’s the one in need. We are asking for your support to help him cover living costs and medical care while he heals. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. And if you’re unable to give, simply sharing this campaign can help spread the word and lift Elijah up during this time.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kindness, support, and prayers. Together, we can help Elijah focus on what matters most — healing and being the dad his kids need.

With gratitude,

Wendy Brill and Family

Update from Wendy Brill – Elijah’s Road to Recovery 💚

I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has donated, shared, or sent prayers and words of encouragement for my son, Elijah. Your kindness has helped keep our family going during one of the hardest times of our lives, and we truly can’t thank you enough.

Elijah continues to make progress, but it’s been slow and painful. He still struggles daily with hip and nerve pain and now relies on a cane to get around. He’s in weekly chiropractic care through December and has been referred to both an orthopedic surgeon and a neurologist at Alliance Health Partners for further evaluation. The next few months will be critical as doctors determine whether he may need surgery or ongoing specialized treatment.

As a single father raising two small children, Elijah is doing everything he can to stay strong, but the medical bills, therapy costs, and everyday living expenses are becoming overwhelming. He’s still unable to return to work, and each week brings new financial strain.

If you’ve been meaning to give but haven’t had the chance yet, please know that now would make such a difference. Even a small donation — $20, $50, or whatever you can spare — directly helps cover his care, rent, and the needs of his little ones. And if you’re not able to give, please share his story with others who may be able to help.

Your continued support truly means the world to us. Every single act of generosity brings Elijah one step closer to healing and gives him the strength to keep moving forward.

    With heartfelt gratitude,

    Wendy Brill and Family

    Update from Wendy

I want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has already donated to support my son, Elijah. Your kindness has touched our hearts and is helping us push through this difficult time. Every gift, every share, and every prayer truly means the world to us.

Elijah is still facing a long road ahead in his recovery. The pain, the medical visits, and the day-to-day challenges are not easy—but knowing we have people standing behind us gives us strength.

If you’ve already given, please know how deeply grateful we are. If you’re able to help again, or if you haven’t had the chance to donate yet, I kindly ask that you consider supporting Elijah now. Even a small gift makes a big difference toward his medical bills, therapy, and living expenses while he’s unable to work.

And if a financial donation isn’t possible at this time, sharing Elijah’s story with friends, family, and social media networks is another powerful way to help. The more people who hear about his journey, the greater the chance we can keep him supported until he’s back on his feet.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for standing with us. With your continued generosity and prayers, Elijah can focus on healing instead of worrying about how to get by.

    With so much gratitude,

    Wendy Brill
